Phew what a week that was! The fourth BoatBid online boat auction has just ended. We’ve had 32 used motor and sailing boats being auctioned online over the past 5 days and we’ve been busy answering all your questions and helping everyone to find out as much information about the boats in the catalogue before bidding and making sure you all knew exactly how to bid and what happens next.

Once again we were delighted with the way our bespoke software worked and how smoothly the whole auction went, not to mention the fantastic interest we’ve had in the auction, the number of bids and the boats that will now go under offer.

For those who have won the bidding they now have time to have a professional survey undertaken to make sure that their new purchase is exactly what they’d hoped for. Our Boatshed.com brokers who are handling the sale of these boats will be able to help them through the process. As they are local to where the boat is they have plenty of contacts and useful local knowledge from finding somewhere to grab a coffee through to arranging yacht transport worldwide they’ll be on hand.

But here at BoatBid we can’t relax for five minutes. We’ve already got our sights firmly fixed on our September online auction. We’ve even got our first boats down for the catalogue which will be launched at 10am on August 13th 30 days before the start of the auction on 12th September which we’ve timed to coincide with the PSP Southampton Boat Show 2009 where Boatshed.com has the legendary fizz@five on their stand. It’s also getting towards the end of the boating season for many and will be a great time to snap up a bargain boat before winter and have plenty of time to get her just right for 2010.

We’re on the lookout for fantastic used sailing yachts and power boats of all shapes and sizes to fill this next online auction. I know we’ve still got the best of the summer and the year’s boating to come here in the Northern Hemisphere but the nights have already started drawing in! If your mind has wandered towards changing your boat after this season then please get in touch and we’ll get our local Boatshed.com broker to explain the Boatshed system with you and run through our no sale no fee charges.
