Broker's Comments
This is a modern version of the 1904 design by McLean Gibson for the Humber Yawl Club and awarded first prize in a design competition by Albert Strange.
She has slightly more free board than the originals and of course she is built using modern cold molded and epoxy technology.
She is a most pretty yawl and turns heads wherever she sails.
This yacht was in under cover storage for eight years and only really got back into sailing trim in 2005. So, she is barely used.
The current owner is buying a yacht with standing head room ! So, you've been warned.
There is no doubt that this little yawl will have good performance, particularly upwind, with her high peak gaff and centre board.
If classic boat cruising and a bit of fun classic racing is your thing, you would be hard pushed to find a more suitable boat. And the bonus is, you will have a modern build without the traditional maintenance issues.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
